chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), a persistent inflammatory disease of the upper airways whose causes remain poorly defined. The research team sought to identify genetic variations that increase susceptibility to CRS, using genetic association analyses conducted across several Quebec-based cohorts.<br \/>\nAfter an initial series of studies identifying potentially implicated genes \u2014 including some involved in inflammatory pathways \u2014 the researchers expanded their analyses by incorporating genotyped CARTaGENE participants as a control group. This approach made it possible to confirm previously observed genetic associations, notably with the TSLP gene, which plays a major role in inflammatory diseases of both the upper and lower airways.<br \/>\nThese findings help pave the way for identifying biological mechanisms underlying CRS and could eventually contribute to the development of blood\u2011based biomarkers useful for
