class=\"ft-contenu__body-col col-12 col-lg-8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ft-contenu__texte\"><p>This project used the CARTaGENE cohort to replicate genetic signals related to metabolic syndrome and the albumin\u2011to\u2011creatinine ratio (ACR), an important kidney marker linked to cardiovascular risk. In the first phase, a study conducted in the Czech Republic had identified genetic variants that may influence both metabolic profiles and albuminuria.<br \/>\nThe project evaluated these findings in CARTaGENE by analyzing about 754 French\u2011Canadian adults, selected to be representative of the population by age, sex, and cardiovascular risk. CARTaGENE\u2019s extensive genetic and biological data enabled a robust assessment of reproducibility.<br \/>\nComplementary research conducted in CARTaGENE has also shown that genes involved in uric\u2011acid handling (including SLC2A9) and kidney markers such as uromodulin can influence albuminuria, reinforcing the value of studying genetics, kidney function, and metabolic factors together.<br \/>\nThis project contributes to a better understanding of the biological pathways linking metabolism, kidney health, and cardiovascular
