class=\"ft-contenu__body-col col-12 col-lg-8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ft-contenu__texte\"><p>Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of risk factors\u2014including high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, abnormal blood lipids, and excess abdominal fat\u2014that increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. This project examined the relationship between vegetarian diets, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and inflammation by combining data from several large European and Canadian cohorts, including CARTaGENE. The analyses compared the prevalence of metabolic syndrome, its individual components, inflammatory status, and metabolically healthy obesity among vegetarians and non-vegetarians. These findings contribute to a better understanding of how dietary habits influence metabolic and cardiovascular health and may help inform strategies for the prevention of chronic
