class=\"ft-contenu__body-col col-12 col-lg-8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ft-contenu__texte\"><p>This project used data from the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow Project, including the CARTaGENE cohort, to improve understanding of how lifestyle, mental health, and environmental factors influence the risk of developing common cancers. The research examined factors such as diet, physical activity, sleep, body composition, smoking, mental health, and neighborhood characteristics. Findings showed that several lifestyle and social factors may contribute to cancer risk, including through their influence on health-related behaviours such as smoking. The analyses also highlighted the role of residential environments, showing that neighborhood characteristics can affect behaviours associated with chronic disease risk. Together, these studies contribute to a better understanding of cancer risk factors in the Canadian population and may help inform targeted prevention strategies aimed at reducing the burden of
