class=\"ft-contenu__body-col col-12 col-lg-8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ft-contenu__texte\"><p>Aging is associated with biological changes that can contribute to the development of many chronic age-related diseases. However, people do not all age at the same rate. This project aims to identify and validate blood-based biomarkers that can estimate biological age, providing a measure of an individual\u2019s physiological aging beyond their chronological age. Researchers are studying markers related to immune system function as well as molecules produced by senescent cells that are associated with inflammation. Using data and biological samples from more than 2,000 CARTaGENE participants, the team is establishing reference values to better characterize healthy aging and accelerated aging. The research has already shown that some of these biomarkers are closely linked to immune system aging and can identify premature aging associated with long-term health complications, including metabolic disorders. Ultimately, this work could help identify individuals at higher risk of age-related diseases earlier and support the development of new strategies for healthy aging and disease
