class=\"ft-contenu__body-col col-12 col-lg-8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ft-contenu__texte\"><p>Lyme disease is a tick-borne infection whose incidence has increased in Quebec over recent years. This project aimed to develop a novel diagnostic approach based on nanotechnology-enabled sensors capable of rapidly detecting antibodies against *Borrelia burgdorferi*, the bacterium responsible for Lyme disease. The goal was to create a simpler and potentially more sensitive test than conventional diagnostic methods by using specially designed carbohydrate antigens to recognize the immune response associated with infection. Although progress was made in the development of this technology, technical challenges related to antigen synthesis limited further advancement of the project and prevented the planned clinical validation phase. Nevertheless, the knowledge generated through this work may contribute to the future development of innovative diagnostic approaches for Lyme
