class=\"ft-contenu__body-col col-12 col-lg-8\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ft-contenu__texte\"><p>Paleogenomics makes it possible to better understand human evolution by comparing the DNA of ancient individuals with that of contemporary populations. Quebec offers a unique setting for this type of research, with a well\u2011documented founder population and exceptional genealogical and genomic data.<br \/>\nThis project aims to link ancient genomes from burials at Montreal\u2019s first Notre\u2011Dame church to the genomes of contemporary individuals in Quebec using CARTaGENE and BALSAC data. By combining genetic and genealogical information, the study will trace certain family lineages over several centuries and improve understanding of the recent genetic evolution of the Quebec
