Summary

Low back pain and neuropathic pain are common conditions with highly variable treatment responses between individuals. This project aims to identify genetic variants associated with treatment effectiveness and different pain phenotypes. Analyses use data from the Quebec Pain Registry and CARTaGENE participants, including genome-wide association approaches and studies of multisite chronic pain. The project integrates multiple conditions and medication data to better characterize pain profiles. These findings are expected to improve understanding of pain mechanisms and support the development of personalized treatment strategies.
