Summary

CARTaGENE is the largest population‑based cohort in Quebec, following nearly 43,000 participants over many years and collecting detailed health, environmental, and genetic data. This project aims to further enrich this resource by measuring thousands of proteins circulating in the blood.
The study focuses on a subgroup of participants of Haitian origin for whom whole‑genome sequencing data are already available. By combining proteomic and genetic information, the project seeks to better understand how genetic variation influences protein levels, which play a central role in human health. These analyses will help validate a high‑throughput proteomic approach and generate valuable data to support future large‑scale studies and advances in precision medicine.
