The Canadian Urban Environmental Health Research Consortium (CANUE) aims to generate and link standardized environmental data (pollution, living environments, climate, and socioeconomic conditions) with CARTaGENE data using postal codes, to better study the impact of the environment on health.

Description
CANUE, funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), collects and generates standardized, area-level environmental data on air and noise pollution, land use, green/natural spaces, climate change/extreme weather, and socio-economic conditions.
Environmental exposure datasets are linked to CARTaGENE data using the six-character residential postal code. CANUE environmental datasets were first linked to CARTaGENE data in May 2019. These data are updated annually.
