Canadian Alliance for Healthy Hearts and Minds – Development of community health and health services profiles

Cardiovascular diseases are a major public health concern. This project aimed to better understand the factors influencing cardiovascular health and access to care.
The research team used data from CARTaGENE participants, combined with health administrative data, to develop community-level health profiles in Quebec.
These analyses help examine the relationships between lifestyle factors, social conditions, health care use, and cardiovascular risk.
The project also contributed to a scientific study showing that participants differ somewhat from the general population, an important consideration when interpreting results.
