Summary

This research program aims to improve the prevention and monitoring of type 2 diabetes in Québec by using telemedicine and artificial‑intelligence tools that can automatically generate predictive models. The first project will test a remote monitoring method with 300 people at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, using a risk score built from behavioural, biological, and environmental data. The model will be trained using CARTaGENE data and then evaluated in a clinical setting to measure its accuracy and usefulness. The results will help guide the integration of AI‑based tools into diabetes care and support stronger prevention strategies in Québec.
